The Stanton County Sheriff’s office received four (4) sets of Tire Deflation spikes that were provided free through a grant from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association. The grant was applied for by Deputy Tyler Evans and after approval the Sheriff’s office received the portable spikes that are worth more than a $1000.00 in value. The Sheriff’s office is very thankful for the donation and appreciates the support of the Deputy Sheriff’s Assn. The spikes are a valuable tool used to slow and terminate pursuits and have proven very effective in the recent past.
