Just before midnight on Tuesday night a car was clocked on US. Hwy 275 just east of Norfolk by the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office at more than a 100 mph and then vehicle then fled east at speeds of more than 140 mph and then turned north onto a county road and tried to hide off the roadway with his lights off. He was observed hiding and fled eastbound on 842nd Road and crashed through a locked gate of a cattle yard causing severe damage to his vehicle and after loosing a tire he crashed into a cattle yard fence coming to rest. Cameron Bussinger, 19, of Stuart was taken into custody and declined medical treatment at the scene. Bussinger was found to be intoxicated and was transported to the Sheriff’s office where he provided a breath sample that was more than twice the legal limit. Bussinger was then booked for Speeding more than 100 mph in a 70 mph zone, Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Reckless Driving, Aggravated DWI and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Bussinger posted a cash bond and was released with a April court date. The Suspect Vehicle is considered a total loss.
