Following an investigation by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office and with assistance from the Nebraska Humane Society out of Omaha a Pilger couple was charged with 52 counts of Animal Neglect that included four felony counts and each were also charged with one count of Child Neglect. Daniel Scott, 44, and Paige Scott, 32, appeared in court on Tuesday on the animal neglect charges and will appear on the child neglect charges at a later date. Numerous animals were removed from their residence last month and placed in the custody of the humane society. Both Scott’s were released from custody on $3000.00 appearance bonds.
