Stanton Man Arrested for Aggravated DWI After Testing nearly Four Times the Legal Limit

On Friday evening at about 7:15 p.m., a Sheriff’s deputy on patrol discovered an accident on Old Hwy 8 about one mile east of Stanton. It was further discovered the lone male driver was uninjured, but was highly intoxicated. William Zohner, 30, of Stanton was placed under arrest for DWI and after providing a failing breath sample at the Sheriff’s office that showed he was nearly four times the legal limit he was booked on charges of DWI-2nd offense (Above .150% BAC.) and an Open Container Violation. He was released to a responsible party after posting a cash bond. He is scheduled to appear next month in court.
