On Tuesday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office observed a stolen vehicle being operated on Hwy 24 entering Stanton. A traffic stop was conducted on the stolen vehicle near 17th Street in Stanton and the female driver, Ellexys Wolff, 24, of Stanton was taken into custody without incident and placed under arrest for Theft by Receiving and booked at the Sheriff’s office. She was then remanded to custody after appearing in front of a county judge pending the posting of a cash bond. A small child in the vehicle was safely turned over to family.
