Just before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evening the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a vehicle on a county road about five miles northeast of Pilger. The driver, Brian Maciel, 31, of Wayne was found to have his drivers license revoked for fifteen years and was operating the motor vehicle illegally. He was placed under arrest on the felony violation and a subsequent search of his vehicle revealed he was also in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Maciel was then jailed pending the posting of a cash bond.
