Stanton Man Arrested For Felony DWI After Rollover Accident

Just before 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning a Sheriff’s deputy on patrol discovered a vehicle that had just rolled off Hwy 24 on the west edge of Stanton, The lone 38 year old driver from Stanton was initially found unconscious and was then extricated from the vehicle by members of the Sheriff’s office. Brandon Kluender was treated at the scene by Stanton EMS and declined further medical care. Kluender was placed under arrest for DWI and later provided a breath sample at the Sheriff’s office that was more than twice the legal limit. He was then booked for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated-3rd offense (Above .150% BAC.) and later released after posting a cash bond. The vehicle he was driving was eastbound on Hwy 24 when it left the roadway and rolled at least twice coming to rest on its wheels in the deep snow. Seatbelts were in use along with multiple airbag deployment that is credited with lessening any injuries and the vehicle is considered a total loss.
