At about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover accident on East Benjamin Avenue near Woodland Park that initially trapped the three occupants. The accident occurred when a westbound SUV on East Benjamin Avenue lost control due to speed and icy road conditions and crossed over into the south ditch and rolled coming to rest on its side. The male driver and his two small children were trapped in vehicle and had to be extricated out of the SUV. All three were medically treated at the scene by Norfolk Fire and Rescue and declined medical transport. Seatbelts were in use and the vehicle is considered a total loss.
