Two Stanton County Sheriff’s Deputies Promoted to Sergeant

The Stanton County Sheriff’s office is pleased to announce the promotions of two Sheriff’s Deputies to the rank of Sergeant. Senior Deputy Michael Petersen and Deputy Sheriff Tyler Evans have been promoted to the supervisory rank of Sergeant effective next week. Petersen has been with the Sheriff’s office for nearly 14 years and Evans has been with the Sheriff’s office for nine years during two different stints. Both bring a vast amount of knowledge and training to the rank and will join Chief Deputy Aaron Kleensang in supervisory roles within the office. “I’m proud of both men as they have put the extra effort forward to learn and lead in these difficult times for law enforcement across the country”, said Sheriff Unger. Both deputies live in Stanton and are proud husbands and fathers who volunteer time to the community as youth coaches and mentors.
