At about 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening a 49 year old Spencer woman was stopped about four miles South of Stanton on Hwy 57 by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office for speeding. Tonya Robichaud was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DWI. She later was given a breath test at the Sheriff’s office where she tested nearly four times the legal limit of .08. Robichaud was booked for the aggravated DWI at the Sheriff’s office and released on bond. Robichaud has five prior DWI convictions, but they can no longer be used against her due to statute time limitations on her driving record.
