Stanton Woman Sentenced to Jail for Drug Violation in District Court

On Friday in Stanton County District Court, Darion Hansen, 30, of Stanton was sentenced to six months in the county jail on a charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine. She also received a $100.00 fine for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was arrested earlier this summer following the service of a search warrant at a Stanton residence by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office. Also arrested during that Search warrant by the Sheriff’s office was Dylan Bolte, 29, of Norfolk who was sentenced to 24 months of intensive supervised probation following his conviction of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine. Four others arrested during that investigation have already been sentenced to jail and prison terms or are awaiting sentencing. Shaun Jones, 42, of Stanton was sentenced to $1500.00 in fines following his conviction for Attempted Possession of methamphetamine and Concentrated THC (Marijuana). Jones was arrested by the Sheriff’s office earlier this year after a search of his residence in Stanton.

In another District Court Case, Gabriel Safty, 17, of rural Leigh pled not guilty to multiple felony charges involving the armed sexual assault of a adult female at a rural Leigh residence back in April. Safty was arrested by the Sheriff’s office following a vehicle pursuit that ended near West Point in the victims stolen SUV. A court order ruled that Safty is competent to stand trial after an exam by a court ordered doctor and he is charged as an adult.
