At about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office had contact with a vehicle in Woodland Park that resulted in the arrest of the lone driver. Scott Jones, 39, of Fairbury was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DWI. Jones was found have prior DWI convictions and was charged with Third offense aggravated DWI after he was booked at the Sheriff’s office and provided a breath sample that showed he was more than twice the legal limit. Jones was then jailed on the felony DWI charge along with Fictitious Plates and No Valid Registration, pending the posting of a cash bond. Jones advised he was not sure of where he was when he was taken into custody.
