On Monday in Stanton County Court, Jordan Wagner-Munoz, 27, of Stanton made his first appearance in court after he was formally charged with felony Assault on a Police Officer along with Resisting Arrest and Driving During Suspension. Wagner-Munoz was arrested back in December by the Sheriff’s office in Stanton after he was observed driving during suspension and when contacted he refused to cooperate and began to resist arrest. During that struggle he allegedly bit a Sheriff’s deputy on his wrist and finally was subdued when other officers arrived on scene. A female who was also present, Debra Thomsen, 30, of Stanton was also charged with Obstructing a Police Officer for her actions during the struggle and made her first court appearance as well. Both are scheduled to appear back in court on February 8th.
