On Monday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office received a suprise visit by the Stanton First Graders and their teachers with letters of thanks from each student in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day that took place over the weekend. The young citizens were met by Sheriff Unger with greetings and a quick visit of the Sheriff’s office. Sheriff Unger told the youngsters “You are the reason we do this job” as he thanked them for their thoughtfulness.
