West Point man sentenced to Federal Prison-Stanton Sheriff’s office assisted in investigation

Josue Osuna Salazar, 26, of West Point was sentenced in U.S. District Court earlier this month to more than 60 months in federal detention on drug distribution charges in several Northeast Nebraska counties. He was arrested in the summer of 2019 by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office on drug related charges following a pursuit on county roads near Woodland Park after he fled a traffic stop at high speeds. That arrest aided in collaborating information for the federal indictment on more serious drug charges and area wide investigation by the DEA.
