At about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a speeding vehicle on Hwy 275 about eight miles east of Norfolk. The vehicle was stopped for travelling 102 mph in the 70 mph zone and the female driver, Latoya White Dress, 38, of Salina, KS was cited for that violation. A male passenger in the vehicle was contacted and his details did not add up after providing false information. He was ultimately identified as Joel W. Forster, 41, of Omaha and with the use of a mobile fingerprint reader he was found to have three active arrest warrants out of Douglas County. They included two felony warrants for Assault by Strangulation and Domestic Assault with Bodily Injury. He was taken into custody and then jailed pending his return to Douglas County authorities.
