Hoskins Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 35

At about 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to and investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 35 and 846th Road about two miles southwest of Hoskins. The accident occurred when a northbound sedan had stopped to turn off Hwy 35 onto 846th and was struck from behind by a second northbound sedan. The driver of the turning vehicle, a 69 year old man from Hoskins was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Faith Health by Hoskins/Woodland Park Rescue. The teenage driver of the second vehicle and her female teenage passenger both of Hoskins declined medical transport. The accident blocked part of Hwy 35 for about one hour as the scene was investigated and cleared. Seatbelts were in use and airbags did deploy. Both vehicles are considered total losses. Woodland Park Fire also responded to the accident scene along with Stanton County Emergency Management.
