Early Tuesday morning a contracted employee of a cleaning business was found sleeping inside a classroom at the Woodland Park Elementary school by school staff. He was further believed to be under the influence of drugs and methamphetamine was recovered from him before he left the school. The Stanton County Sheriff’s office was notified of the event and was able to track down the man who was identified as Rueben Longoria, 24, of Norfolk. Longoria admitted finding the methamphetamine and that he might have used it at the school. He was placed under arrest by the Sheriff’s office for Possession of Methamphetamine and jailed pending the posting of a cash bond. Longoria has no affiliation with the Norfolk Public schools and was supposed to be cleaning in the building and no children were present at the time of the incident.
