Just before 2:00 a.m. on Monday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover accident on Ridge Road about two miles North of Stanton. The accident occurred when a northbound car driven by Andris Castillo-Machado, 29, of Stanton lost control of his vehicle and it left the roadway and rolled several times into a field. Castillo-Machado and three adult occupants were treated at the scene by Stanton Rescue and declined medical transport. It was unclear if seatbelts were in use and the vehicle is a total loss. Speed is considered a contributing factor and it would be an under statement to say it was anything but miraculous that they were not all seriously injured or worse. Castillo-Machado was cited for having No Operators License.
