Sunday evening the Sheriff’s office held their annual appreciation supper and handed out several well earned awards. Senior Deputy Aaron Kleensang was awarded with a 2020 Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Officer of the Year award for his enforcement efforts on DWI and alcohol related incidents. He was presented the award by Sheriff Mike Unger who twice before has received the award. Due to Covid restrictions the award was not given as usual at a MADD banquet in Lincoln. Also recognized was Senior Deputy Josh Bennett for Ten Years of continuous service to the Sheriff’s office.
