On Wednesday night the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a vehicle on Hwy 275 near 567th Avenue for a traffic violation. During the stop the a female passenger was found to be in possession of a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine that field tested positive. Sandra Harris, 43, of Howells was placed under arrest for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and several charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (pills) that she had no prescription for. The male driver Matthew Morrison, 46, also of Howells was also arrested later on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and a Probation Violation. This traffic stop led to the issuance of two seperate search warrants to the Sheriff’s office that were served on Thursday morning in Norfolk at 507 12th Street with the assistance of the Norfolk Police Division and Madison County Sheriff’s office. Two adult males and an adult female were placed under arrest at this location on felony drug charges after methamphetamine and paraphernalia was located during the search of the residence. They are in custody of Madison County authorities. Two other adults were detained at the residence and released without any charges. The second search warrant was served at 217 North 6th Street in Howells by the Sheriff’s office and assistance from the Colfax County Sheriff’s office. One male was detained at that location and the search did yield suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
