On Monday night about 11:00 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover accident, about 1/8 mile East of the Hwy 35 and East Benjamin intersection. The accident occurred when a westbound car driven by Erik Wright, 17, Norfolk failed to negotiate a curve on East Benjamin Avnue and left the roadway rolling twice onto its top. Wright was treated at the scene by Woodland Park Rescue and declined medical transport. Seatbelts were in use and speed was considered a contributing factor. The vehicle is considered a total loss. Stanton County Emergency Management also responded to the scene.
