Just after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to a disturbance call in the 600 block of Ivy Street in Stanton. It was found that a female had been assaulted by her boyfriend and this also included her allegedly being strangled around the neck. Riley Alder, 24, was arrested on charges of Third Degree Domestic Assault and Assault by Strangulation. He was then jailed pending the posting of a cash bond that has yet to be set. Alder is currently out on bond on similar assault charges in Boone County. Those involved have only recently moved to Stanton.
