Madison Man Seriously Injured in Fluke Traffic Accident

On Friday morning at about 7:00 a.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a traffic accident on 559 1/2 Road southeast of Norfolk, that seriously injured the lone 47 year old driver, Shane Siecke, of rural Madison. The accident occurred late Thursday night and was not discovered until Friday morning. The initial investigation revealed a pickup was pulling a second pickup southbound with a tow bar on the county road and the driver lost control and both vehicles left the roadway and rolled. The driver was not restrained and was partially trapped under the pickup from the inside of the pickup cab. The second towed pickup rolled onto its top near a creek bed. Siecke was assisted by a local farmer at the scene and then transported to FRHS by Norfolk Rescue. Stanton County Emergency Management also assisted the Sheriff’s office at the scene.
