Madison Man and His Five Year Old Daughter Transported to Hospital Following Early Morning Accident

At about 3:47 a.m. on Saturday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle injury accident on Hwy 32 about 3.5 miles east of Madison. The accident occurred when a westbound pickup driven by Ku Say, 28, of Madison crossed the centerline and entered the south ditch before driving back across the highway and then entered the steep north ditch and travelled about 20 yards before striking a grove of trees and coming to rest. Say and his five year old daughter were properly restrained and airbags did deploy in the severely damaged Tacoma pickup protecting them from more serious injuries. Both were transported to FRHS by Madison Fire and Rescue for treatment. It is believed that Say fell asleep at the wheel causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. It was very fortunate that the pickup did not roll after leaving the highway with the terrain present. The pickup is a total loss and the Madison County Sheriff’s office also assisted at the scene.
