At about 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was contacted by Cuming County dispatch that a vehicle was travelling west on Hwy 32 approaching Stanton County and was believed to be operated by an impaired driver. The vehicle was located near the Hwy 32 and Hwy 15 junction and the vehicle was stopped south of the intersection on Hwy 15 after the vehicle drove onto the shoulder. The driver of Tabitha Severin, 45, Dodge was found to be intoxicated and tested nearly four times the legal limit on the roadside. She was placed under arrest for DWI and then booked at the Sheriff’s office for aggravated DWI-3rd offense where she failed a chemical breath test. She was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and open container of alcoholic liquor. When asked what she did for work, Severin stated “Smoke Weed and Drink Whiskey”. Severin is scheduled to appear in court next month for an initial appearance.
