Meadow Grove Man Arrested For Third Offense DWI and Refusal, Along With Other Charges

At about 9:11 p.m. on Saturday night, the Stanton County Sheriff’s office had contact with a westbound vehicle on Hwy 275 near Pilger that showed no front plate. The vehicle was stopped for the violation and found to have no valid registration and the driver, Wyatt Wallin, 35, of Meadow Grove was further found to have a revoked drivers license and appeared to be under the influence of alcoholic liquor with an open alcoholic liquor container present in the vehicle. Wallin was subsequently placed under arrest for DUS and DWI-3rd offense and then booked at the Sheriff’s office where he refused to take a chemical test of his breath and was also charged with Refusal to Submit. Wallin was able to later post a $10,000.00 bond and was released from custody with a March court date. “For the second time in the last 38 hours, the Sheriff’s office has taken a very intoxicated drunk driver whom had multiple previous DWI convictions off Hwy 275. Even enforcement of simple non-moving traffic violations leads to getting these dangerous drivers off our roadways” Sheriff Mike Unger
