At about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to a loud music complaint in the 1900 block of North Eastwood in Woodland Park. Upon arrival it was determined a large underage drinking party was taking place. The complaint led to 13 Northeast Community College students being cited for Minor in Possession/Consumption of Alcohol. “Underage Drinking is still illegal and will be strictly enforced as long as I’m still the Sheriff—Better than notifying next of kin at 3 a.m. telling them their loved one is never coming home ever again.” Sheriff Mike Unger
