Between December 12th and January 1st the Stanton County Sheriff’s office took part in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled over campaign that was funded by the Nebraska Highway Safety Division with an overtime grant funding. The Sheriff’s office issued more than 132 citations for traffic violations along with numerous warnings being issued. The Sheriff’s office put in 52 hours of overtime during the grant period that will be re-imbursed and issued several citations for liquor violations and made two felony arrest during the period. “The deputies efforts speak for themselves as we had no accidents involving alcohol or speed violations during the operation, and always consider the consequences of drinking and driving that often ends in a fatal outcome!”🚓 SHERIFF MIKE UNGER
