The westbound SUV encountered multiple deer on the roadway and struck at least one causing major damage to the vehicle with airbag deployment. The driver was uninjured, but a 62 year old female passenger was complaining of possible injuries. She was treated at the scene by Pilger Fire and Rescue and declined hospital transport. The scene was cleared about an hour later and an injured deer was put down. Stanton County Emergency Management also assisted at the scene.
