Over the past week the Stanton County Sheriff’s office has collaborated with the Elkhorn Valley Public Health Department to inform and educate Stanton Fifth and Sixth graders about the laws and ill effects of drugs including Tobacco, Alcohol and Marijuana and other illegal substances. This further included displays and hands-on demonstrations by Sheriff Unger and Sergeant Michael Petersen using “Fatal Vision” goggles that simulate the effects of drugs and alcohol in your system.

Also this past Monday evening, Sheriff Unger presented a program to Scouts Pack #165 of Norfolk at the Norfolk Episcopal Church about the duties of the Sheriff’s Office and Vehicle Safety among other law enforcement topics.
