Stolen Guns and Other Stolen Items Recovered by Sheriff’s Office in Separate Cases

Earlier this month the Stanton County Sheriff’s office with assistance from the Columbus Police Department recovered seven stolen firearms that were taken from a rural Norfolk residence located just into Stanton County last year. The firearms were all found in the possession of a Columbus man who faces charges in Platte County. The investigation into the person(s) responsible for the gun burglary is still being undertaken by the Sheriff’s office. In a separate investigation the Sheriff’s office recovered a large quantity of stolen items at a Pilger residence that had been stolen from a storage shed break-in in Norfolk. The items were recovered and transferred to Norfolk Police who are assisting in the ongoing investigation. A suspect in the case, Andrew Allen is currently in custody on drug related charges in Stanton County.
