On Friday night at about 11:20 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a speeding vehicle on Hwy 24 near the west edge of Stanton. The driver, Ashley Hofman, 35, was found to have a suspended license. During contact with Hofman she was found in be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Also located in her backpack was methamphetamine and THX wax. She was placed under arrest and booked at the Sheriff’s office and then jailed pending the setting of bond.
