Mother and Son Sentenced on Felony Drug Charges in Stanton County District Court

On Monday morning in Stanton County District two Woodland Park residents were sentenced by District Judge Michael Long. Kyle Kirstine, 43, was sentenced to two years each in prison on two separate felony convictions that will be served concurrently. The first was for Possession of Methamphetamine and the second Failure to Appear. Kirstine was originally arrested last fall by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office following the service of a search warrant at his mothers residence in Woodland Park. Methamphetamine was located in both their possession inside the residence and they were jailed. Later, Kirstine failed to appear in court in Stanton and an arrest warrant was issued. He was later observed in a vehicle in Stanton by Sheriff Mike Unger and a vehicle pursuit began in Stanton and ended in Norfolk with him being taken into custody and again jailed. His mother Debra Udell, 64, was also sentenced for Possession of Methamphetamine to 24 months of probation. She was arrested with her son after the search warrant was undertaken on her residence. Both have prior convictions for drug related charges.
