At about 5:18 p.m. on Sunday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded to and investigated a two vehicle traffic accident at the Hwy 275 and Hwy 57 junction (Spurville) north of Stanton. The accident occurred when a westbound SUV driven by Laura Conway, 56, of Stanton turned in front of an eastbound SUV driven by Mariano Tipaz-Osorio, 34, Clearwater and was struck broadside. Conway was treated at the scene by EMS but declined medical transport. She was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way and Tipaz-Osorio was found to have a suspended drivers license and was cited for DUS. Seatbelts and airbags deployed in the collision and prevented serious injuries. Stanton and Pilger Fire and Rescue responded to the scene
