At about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a speeding vehicle on Hwy 15 near Pilger. The driver was found to be revoked for five years after numerous DWI convictions. Alberto Garcia, 31, of Omaha was taken into custody on a felony DUS charge and jailed pending the setting of bond. Garcia was currently out on cash bond in Madison County for the same felony offense and had just driven away from the courthouse in Madison earlier in the afternoon after appearing is District Court there. “Anyone think the system is not broken, here is a perfect example!” Sheriff Mike Unger
