Just after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to a physical disturbance involving numerous people in the 1100 block of Locust Street in Stanton. The first Sheriff’s unit arrived within two minutes and found a large group (8 to 10 people) in the basement with at least one adult male bleeding and another female who went into a seizure and stopped breathing. All those present were detained and the non-responsive female was revived after several minutes of effort. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of three adults and one 17 year old for Disturbing the Peace for their involvement in the physical altercation. They were all released on citations with future court dates. The female that went unresponsive was taken to FRHS by Norfolk Fire/Rescue for treatment. An adult male was treated at the scene by Stanton Rescue for a facial injury and a 10 year old girl was transported to FRHS by Stanton Rescue for evaluation after she was elbowed in her chest during the melee.
