On Thursday morning, Deputy Lucas Gnat graduated from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island as one of the 39 newest certified law enforcement officers in the State of Nebraska. Lucas was hired earlier this year by the Sheriff’s office and began his 16 weeks of continuous training in Grand Island in August. A total of 51 students began the intensive training and Lucas did very well in all phases of his training ending near the top of his class. Gnat brings the Sheriff’s office to full strength for the first time in more than a year and we look forward to him working on his own as soon as he completes in-house training. “Welcome aboard Lucas to our Thin Blue Line family and always remember we have your six!” 🙂
Sheriff Unger and Chief Deputy Aaron Kleensang welcome Lucas into the Sheriff’s office 🙂
