On Saturday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office arrested a 39 year old former Omaha man at a residence in Woodland Park on a Nebraska Department of Correction arrest warrant for Absconding Parole/Escape after his release from prison. James Harris was taken into custody after he was observed driving by an off-duty deputy and later observed entering a Woodland Park residence. Harris initially appeared to attempt to exit through a back window of the residence, before coming out of the front door of the residence. Harris was jailed pending his return to DOC authorities. Harris was also cited for Driving During Suspension in Stanton County and is also a suspect in a possible Child Enticement at a gas station in Norfolk.
