Sheriff’s Office Completes Annual Firearms Training at New Range

Under the guidance of Firearms Instructor and Range Master Deputy Tyler Evans, the Sheriff’s office completed their annual pistol and rifle firearms training and qualification at a new range. The Sheriff’s office was invited to use the range at Cedar Valley Hunt Club by owner Mark Christensen that is located southeast of Stanton. The range that had been used by the Sheriff’s office had become unavailable and the excellent facilities at Cedar Valley were offered. Sheriff Unger stated “We really appreciate Mark and Traci offering their excellent facilities to us at no cost to the county as a community service and their proud support of local law enforcement”. Special thanks also go out to Madison County Deputy Sheriff Jim Vrbsky for assisting as an instructor on a very hot afternoon.
