Wayne Man Sentenced to Prison

In Stanton County District Court, 38 year old Jeffrey Olsufka Jr. of Wayne was sentenced to approximately 14 months in prison following his convictions for DWI-3rd offense, Possession of Methamphetamine and Resisting Arrest. Olsufka was arrested by the Sheriff’s office last March during daylight hours in southern Stanton County when he was observed partially clothed in a vehicle parked off a county road in a compromising sexual act. When confronted he was found in possession of methamphetamine and to be intoxicated in the running vehicle. He subsequently refused to cooperate and attempted to flee in his vehicle forcing Sheriff Mike Unger to fire a round from his sidearm into his front drivers tire to disable the vehicle to prevent a vehicle pursuit. Olsufka subsequently continued to disregard commands and physically ran from the scene before being taken into custody. Olsufka was treated at the scene by Leigh Rescue and later jailed. Olsufka was also given a $1000.00 fine and had his drivers license revoked for 15 years.
