Oklahoma Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charge and Felony Gun Warrant

On Saturday morning at about 4:15 a.m. The Stanton County Sheriff’s office encountered a speeding semi-tractor trailer on Hwy 35 north of Woodland Park travelling towards Norfolk at 90mph in the 65 mph zone. The semi was stopped and the driver Dwight Allen, 55, of Jay, Ok appeared to be under the influence of illegal drugs and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Allen was also further found to have an outstanding extraditable felony warrant from Delaware County, Oklahoma for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. Allen was booked on charges of DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Oklahoma warrant and jailed pending further court proceedings.
