Stanton Man Arrested For Felony DWI and Speeding 105/65

On Saturday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a vehicle travelling at 105 mph in a 65 mph zone about 12 mile South of Stanton on Hwy 57. Nathan Wietfeld, 37, of Stanton was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for DWI. He was booked a the Sheriff’s office for Felony Third Offense DWI (Above .150% BAC.) after failing a breath test by testing more than twice the legal limit to drive. He was also charged with the speeding infraction and an Open Container of Alcohol Violation. He posted a bond and will appear in court in October.
