At about 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a speeding vehicle on Hwy 275 North of Stanton. The driver of the vehicle Kelly Muhammed, 47, of Alabama was cited for Speeding, Driving During Suspension and No Valid Registration. A pregnant passenger in the vehicle, Amanda Gove, 30, of Omaha was found to have an active Douglas County Arrest Warrant for Failure to Appear. She was arrested and also found in Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and Methamphetamine. Gove was booked at the Sheriff’s office on the new drug charges, where she also tested positive for the illegal drugs and was jailed on a $50,000.00 bond.
