Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help in Locating Wanted Felon

UPDATED 02-24-2022 WHITMAN IS IN CUSTODY– BEING ARRESTED IN NORFOLK

The Stanton County Sheriff’s office is seeking public assistance in locating a 26 year old wanted felon who walked away from a treatment program earlier this month while out on a cash bond and failed to appear in court this past week. An arrest warrant was issued for Tausha Whitman who was last known to live in Norfolk and is wanted on multiple felony charges that include possession of nearly a pound of methamphetamine and possession of a stolen firearm by a felon. Whitman is a white female who is 5’4 and about 130 pounds with visible tattoo’s. She could be considered dangerous based on her past criminal history. Whitman was originally arrested last August by the Sheriff’s office on Hwy 275 near Stanton.
