SHERIFF UNGER BEGINS 41st YEAR IN LAW ENFORCEMENT

Sheriff Mike Unger recently surpassed the 40 year plateau of Law Enforcement service. Sheriff Unger has served as a Law Enforcement Officer during the last 5 decades after getting his start as a Military Policeman (MP) in the U.S. Army right after graduating high school, serving during the Cold War and terrorist activity in West Germany. After his honorable discharge from military service, Sheriff Unger served in his hometown of Norfolk as a Police Patrolman with the Norfolk Police Division. Sheriff Unger has been policing in Stanton County since 1986 and has more than 28 years as our Stanton County Sheriff.
