Two Stanton Youth Sentenced for Selling Tobacco Products

On Tuesday in Stanton County Court Taylor Wehrle, 17, and Tylor Kment, 17, both of Stanton entered guilty pleas to Contributing to the Delinquency of Minors and Selling Tobacco Products to a Minor and were sentenced. Both were arrested earlier this year by the Sheriff’s office following an investigation into the sale of tobacco produts (vapes) to high school students in Stanton. A search warrant at Kment’s residence resulted in the seizure of more than 400 vape cartridges. Wehrle was sentenced to $1050.00 in fines and cost and Kment was given 18 months of probation with $550.00 in fines and cost. His parents Robert and Jennifer still have charges pending against them for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
