Sheriff’s Office Receives Gift Worth More than $20,000.00 in AED Grant

The Stanton County Sheriff’s office was rewarded with AED (Automatic Defibrillators) from the Helmsley Trust to be placed in every marked patrol unit operated by the Sheriff’s office. The gift is worth more than $20,000.00 and was paid for in full with the only requirement that every operator be trained. All Sheriff’s office staff have received training in the use of the AED’s and Sheriff Unger and several deputies are also trained EMT’s who are most often the first responders on the scene of medical or trauma emergencies. All the AED’s are being placed into service this week and THANK YOU to the Helmsley foundation for their very helpful generosity.
