At about 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover accident on Old Hwy 8 about three miles East of Stanton. The accient occurred when a eastbound Jeep driven by Kate Hill, 38, of Stanton lost control on the county road and left the roadway rolling in the south ditch striking several small trees. Hill was not wearing a seatbelt and declined medical transp[ort from EMS on scene. The Jeep is considered a total loss and Hill is considered very lucky to have escaped serious injuries.
