At 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to and investigated a two vehicle injury accident that injured a 45 year old Madison woman about 8 miles south of Stanton. The accident occurred when a northbound SUV driven by Dina Mabok, of Madison was turning left onto Hwy 32 from Hwy 57 and was sideswiped by a northbound pickup and trailer driven by Jason Hansen, 46, of Norfolk. Witnesses advised that Mabok had her turn signal to turn right on, the other direction when the pickup decided to pass. Mabok was restrained and airbags did deploy in her vehicle and her vehicle is considered a total loss. She then attempted to exit her vehicle and collapsed onto the highway. She was moved to another vehicle and then transported to Faith Health by ambulance. Hansen was not injured and his vehicles were able to drive away. Mabok was found to have no operators license and also suspended license. Mabok was cited for No Operators License, DUS and No Valid Registration. Highway 57 was blocked both directions for about 40 minutes as the scene was cleared. Stanton Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
